Our approach
How CoreBridge Uses AI.
CoreBridge Advisory uses AI as part of our research, analysis and drafting process. We are transparent about that.
We also have a clear principle: AI supports our people; it does not replace their judgement.
Every CoreBridge engagement combines research, data, our own frameworks, direct engagement with clients and stakeholders, and the experience of our Senior Advisors.
How we use AI
Research and market intelligence
We use AI to support research across the sectors and markets in which we work. This includes market research, environmental scanning, comparison of information and analysis of large amounts of open-source material.
We have internal rules governing how AI is used and maintain an AI audit register for our work.
CoreBridge Intelligence
Our team has access to CoreBridge Intelligence, our dashboards of open-source data and market intelligence.
These dashboards give our advisors another source of evidence when assessing markets, organisations, trends and opportunities.
Workshops come first
A significant part of our work happens in workshops — and we love them.
We bring clients, stakeholders and CoreBridge Senior Advisors together to understand the problem, test assumptions and develop ideas.
This matters because a strategy cannot be developed from data alone. We need to hear directly from the people who understand the organisation, its challenges and its opportunities.
CoreBridge develops the thinking
The strategic idea, framework and recommendations are developed by CoreBridge senior staff and Senior Advisors.
AI does not determine the strategy.
Our team develops the questions, considers the evidence, listens to stakeholders and determines the direction of the work.
AI assists with the internal draft
Once we have developed the thinking and framework, AI may be used to help produce an internal first draft.
We use AI models and environments where our information is not used to train public models, subject to the relevant provider settings and contractual arrangements.
An AI draft is an input to our process. It is not a client deliverable.
Our own frameworks sit behind the work
We have spent considerable time developing CoreBridge's own frameworks and intellectual property.
This includes work on trust, sustainability, long-term and 20-year challenges, as well as other CoreBridge methodologies developed through our advisory work.
We have spent more than six months developing the framework overlay we use when working with AI. This means our use of AI is informed by CoreBridge's own methodologies rather than simply relying on a general-purpose model.
We account for AI bias
We know AI models have biases, limitations and gaps.
We therefore apply additional human assessment to important data points, assumptions and conclusions that have been developed or interpreted with AI assistance.
Our advisors consider the original source, context and alternative interpretations. Important claims are checked against appropriate underlying or independent sources.
The more important the decision, the greater the level of human scrutiny.
Senior Advisors review and challenge the work
Our work then goes through multiple rounds of review and refinement by CoreBridge Senior Advisors.
They challenge the analysis, recommendations and assumptions and bring their own professional and sector experience to the work.
Client feedback is also incorporated throughout this process.
Final data and evidence check
Before completion, a senior business analyst reviews the document and checks material data points, sources, calculations and claims.
If we cannot adequately support something, we correct it, qualify it or remove it.
Managing Principal sign-off
The final document is reviewed and signed off by the CoreBridge Managing Principal.
The responsibility for our advice therefore remains with CoreBridge — not with an AI model.
Human judgement remains fundamental
We use AI because it is a useful tool. It allows us to examine more information, undertake research efficiently and support parts of the drafting process.
But the value of CoreBridge comes from our people.
Our Senior Advisors bring experience and judgement that cannot be generated by a model. Our clients and their stakeholders bring knowledge and context that cannot be found in a dataset.
That is why direct stakeholder engagement and workshops remain fundamental to how we work.
We are proud of the frameworks we have developed, comfortable being transparent about our use of AI, and clear about where accountability sits.
The work carrying the CoreBridge Advisory name is our work.
